The main interest of our research is to:
(1) understand structure and function of natural proteins and peptides,
(2) learn the lessons from natural proteins and use them as our design principle,
(3) synthesize biomimetic functional molecules using peptides, peptoids, and natural pigments.
Currently, our research effort is to develop novel antibiotics, antivirals, and biomimetic catalysts.
